General
What is Loadcurl?
Loadcurl is a cloud HTTP load testing product. You configure a request in the dashboard, set target RPS, ramp-up, and duration, and Loadcurl runs the traffic. The free plan includes a load cap with no credit card. Open Plan for the current numbers. You get live status (polled about every 3 seconds) and a detailed report (latency, throughput, HTTP outcomes) plus PDF export. Usage is gated by request quota on your plan.
Do I need to install anything?
No, for the dashboard. Load generators run in the cloud. You can also connect an MCP client, such as Claude, with a key from MCP keys. That client calls Loadcurl’s /mcp endpoint. There is no Loadcurl CLI to install. See MCP keys.
Is there a free way to start?
Yes. Register without a credit card. A personal workspace is created on the Free plan: each test stays inside the free-plan limit (max_rps and max_test_duration), and you can run one active test at a time. A verified email is required. The target domain does not have to be verified inside that limit. Load above it requires a verified domain and a plan that allows it. See Plan in the app for live prices and limits (US or India).
Tests
How do I run a test?
- Verify your email.
- New test → method and URL (or paste curl / Postman).
- Set target traffic, ramp-up, and duration. Stay inside the free-plan limit if the domain is not verified.
- Start test (needs enough available quota, and no other active test on Free).

What HTTP methods are supported?
GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE in the dashboard. An MCP run_test call also accepts HEAD and OPTIONS. Body must be a JSON object when used.
Can I chain multiple endpoints in one scenario?
Not in the current product. Each test is a single HTTP request repeated under the load profile.
Why can't I start a test?
Common blockers:
- Email is not verified
- On the free plan, another test is still pending, provisioned, or running (HTTP 409: “The free plan allows one active test at a time. Wait for the current test to finish before starting another.”)
- Not enough available requests (
duration × RPS) - Duration or RPS above the current plan cap (on Free, the free-plan limit)
- Load above the free-plan limit without a verified domain
- Workspace test count cap reached (currently 5)
Will this hit production?
Yes if you enter a production URL. Traffic is real. Use staging when you are exploring. Only test systems you are allowed to test. Domain verification proves you control the host; it does not make production traffic safe.
Can the free plan run two tests at once?
No. Pending, provisioned, and running all count as active. Starting another returns 409 and tells you to wait for the current test to finish. After it completes or fails, the next one can start. Paid plans are unchanged.
Can I stop a test?
Yes. Stop from the Dashboard live list or the run page. Unused quota hold is released.
How do I get a report?
Open the run from Dashboard or Tests. When processing finishes, view metrics on the page and download a PDF. Reports are not public links.
Does the run page use websockets?
No. It polls about every 3 seconds for status, then for the report after the run finishes.
Domains
Do I have to verify a domain?
Not to stay inside the free-plan limit. A verified email is enough for that cap. Going above it requires a verified hostname (or a subdomain of one) and a plan that allows the load. Personal workspaces: 1 domain. Company: 10. See Verify a domain.
Workspaces
Do I need to create an organization?
No. Sign-up creates a personal workspace. Upgrade from Account when you want a company.
How do I upgrade individual to company?
Account → Upgrade to a company → enter a name → confirm. One-way. See Workspaces and company upgrade.
What roles exist?
Owner, Admin, and Member. There is no Viewer or Tester role.
Can I be in two companies at once?
No. One active organization per user. Joining a company parks your personal workspace.
Account and security
How do I manage devices?
Account → Sessions. Sign out one device or log out all others. New-device sign-ins can send an inbox notification and email.
How are credentials stored for tests?
Request headers and bodies you enter are stored to run the test and show the report. Treat tokens like secrets; prefer staging credentials. Data is sent over TLS to the API.
What cookies does the app use?
An HttpOnly refresh_token cookie keeps you signed in. The access token stays in memory. A device id is stored in local storage. See the Cookie Policy.
Does Loadcurl support Google sign-in?
Yes, on the login and register screens.
MCP
Can an agent run a load test?
Yes. Owner or Admin creates a key on MCP keys, then connects a client with the URL and credentials shown once at creation. The client can start a test, poll status, read the report, list tests, stop a live test, and read plan limits. The same quota, domain, and plan rules apply. Details: MCP keys.
What if my MCP client cannot set custom headers?
Put the keys on the URL instead: https://<api-origin>/mcp?access_key=lcak_…&secret_key=lcsk_…. The create dialog copies this connector link. Claude uses it under Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. The link is the secret. Clients that can set headers should use X-Access-Key and X-Secret-Key instead.
Who can create MCP keys?
Organization owners and admins, including the owner of a personal workspace. Your email must be verified. Members cannot create or list keys.
What if I lose the secret?
It cannot be shown again. Revoke the key and create a new one. An organization can keep 20 keys that are not revoked. Expired keys count until they are revoked.
Billing
Where are plans and quota?
Plan is checkout and comparison. Usage is allotted / available / held / used, holds, and the ledger. Company members share one pool. Members can view; Owner and Admin check out with Razorpay.
How does a hold work?
Start reserves duration × RPS. After the report, actual hits are consumed and leftover hold returns. Unused period quota does not roll into the next period.
Is checkout live?
Yes, for paid plans via Razorpay (Owner/Admin). You can apply an upgrade now, queue a recharge after the current period, cancel a pending checkout, or activate a scheduled plan.
